The finalists for the White Rose Awards 2010 were announced following a record number of entries received … and Cundall Lodge Farm are one of the six (6) finalists in the ‘Bed & Breakfast Guest Accommodation of the Year’ category. Its only the second year we have entered and it is very exciting for us.

The Winner will be announced on the 4th of October!

Cundall Lodge Farm is a traditional family farm where cereals, grass and fodder beet. are grown The farm has a Grade II Listed Georgian House and buildings built over 200 years ago. Cundall Lodge Farm

I’m just coming back down to earth after winning the ‘Welcome to Yorkshire’ Guest Accommodation of the Year for 2009. I’m so proud to win this prestigious award as a Yorkshire girl born and bred its a great honour. It was a total surprise to win as this was the first time I had entered at the insistence of my daughter Tor who is studying Hospitality at York College.

There were over 800 people at the award ceremony at ‘The Royal Amouries’ in Leeds and quite dawnting to go and collect the award from Archbishop Sentamu and a representative from Ware and Kay the sponsors. The competiton this year was judged by an indepentant panel of judges – Barbara Woroncow OBE, Chair; Roger Bowers, Deputy Chair and former High Sherriff of West Yorkshire. Angela Hartnett MBE, Michelin Chef. Gervase Phinn, Author; and Peter Charlton, Editor, Yorkshire Post. There were 5 finalists in all in this catorgory.

Welcome to Yorkshire Award Ceremony
